Beef Processing & Fed-Cattle Sales
MBBA strives to work closely with its beef processing partners, and is proud to be affiliated with Swift & Co. Through a joint marketing effort with GeneNet, LLC, MBBA members have the option of delivering cattle to Swift & Co. facilities in both Grand Island, NE and Greeley, CO.
MBBA’s base animals are those grading USDA Yield Grade 3, Choice. MBBA’s cattle are not required to be “all natural”, but members interested in providing “all natural” cattle have the opportunity to do, with natural premiums in place on the pricing formula.
Dependent on anticipated cattle performance, and producer preferences, MBBA has the option of marketing fat cattle to Swift & Co. under the Montana/GeneNet Carcass Merit Pricing Formula, or by dealing directly with a Swift cattle buyer if the preferred option is to market cattle on a live weight basis.
