Montana Branded Beef Association (MBBA)

Cattle Feeding

The Montana Branded Beef Association’s membership is comprised of forward-looking leaders and innovators. MBBA offers placement assistance to its members where member owned or managed cattle are placed in affiliated feedyards based on harvest dates, in weights, breed types, and time of delivery. MBBA has gone to great lengths to select and affiliate with feedyards having tremendous individual cattle management and marketing skills. In conjunction with a MBBA representative, these feedyards manage and supervise the on-feed performance of all cattle placed in the MBBA program.

MBBA affiliated feedyards are expected to provide timely updates and recommendations on member’s cattle, feed performance, and marketing options if cattle may not hit MBBA’s formula pricing targets.

MBBA affiliated feedyards adhere to a comprehensive feedyard management protocol. To view these protocols, please click on
MBBA’s Feedyard Protocol Link.
